Job Objectives
To perform preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance activities as required to ensure minimizing of equipment malfunction and downtime.
Key Accountabilities - 1
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Follow of all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Departmental Reports
Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.
Health, Safety and Environment
Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
Continuous Improvement
Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Qatarization
Support the development and training of National employees.

Job Specific
- Handle work orders in SAP PM according to defined work processes.
- Perform all PM & CM jobs. Report any deviations and prioritize them accordingly. Participate in root cause analyses and support Reliability team.
- Ensure quality workmanship is carried out all times
- Assist in the day-to-day activities (technical, housekeeping safety and administrative matters) to achieve the standards related to repairs and maintenance job.
- Promptly report the unavailability of parts.
- Carry out Preventive Maintenance as per SAP task list.
- Ensure that Permit to Work routines are followed up within own responsibility area and follows Qatalum SOP&OPL in all activities.
- Act as Stand-In for Supervisor of the area when he is not available.

Minimum Qualifications Required
- ITI / Diploma / Engineering in Vehicle, Mechanical or similar.
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience with heavy vehicles and earth moving equipment.
- Experience in vehicles MTV, APTV, Trailers & forklifts etc. etc. will be an advantage.
Job Specific Skills
- Knowledge in Mobile Equipment Hydraulic system, Hydrostatic Transmission.
- Technical troubleshooting and programming by computer.
- Computer literate in office software.
- Experience in SAP will be an added quality.
- Proactive and should have well knowledge of PM activities.
- HSE knowledge/commitment.
